Francis D. Reid, 79, of Major View Road, Poris Manchester, Jamaica, died Aug. 26 at 1:54 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where he had resided two days.
His wife, Voliet (Merchant) Reid, died three years ago.
Born in Poris Manchester, he was a son of the late Altimont and Rebecca (Pinnock) Reid.
Reid was employed for many years as a constable in Jamaica until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Augustus Church, Poris Manchester.
Surviving are a son, Joseph, Poris Manchester; and three daughters: Lucille Reid, in Maryland; Rebecca (Reid) Scott, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Elfreda (Reid) Fletcher, in Spain.
Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Poris Manchester. Burial will be in St. Augustus Cemetery, Poris Manchester. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
