Francis Bauer, Jr

Francisco Morales, 86, Reading, died April 26, 2007, at 5:43 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, where he had been a patient six days. He was the husband of Juana (Fuentes) Morales.

Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he immigrated to the United States in 1960.

He prided himself and instilled in his children a strong work ethic and good Christian moral values.

Morales was employed for 20 years as a laborer by Birdsboro Steel until his retirement.

He was a member of St. PeterA�a�a��s Roman Catholic Church, Reading, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Morales also is survived by a son, Ierberto, husband of Michele Morales, Reading; and eight daughters: Gladys (Morales), wife of Leonardo Seda, Reading; Mercedes (Morales), wife of Jesus Rojas, Reading; Eva (Morales), wife of Domingo Toledo, West Reading; Francisca Morales, Reading; Juanita Morales, Sinking Spring; Emelyn (Morales), wife of Sheldon Nestler, Reading; Yolanda (Morales), wife of Luis Ortiz, Muhlenberg Township; and Sonia (Morales), wife of Daniel Santiago, West Lawn.

Other survivors include 34 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. PeterA�a�a��s RC Church. Viewing will be Monday 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
