Ethel Geist

Ethel E. Geist, 69, of Reading, passed away February 15, 2014 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Stanley E. Geist who passed away February 25, 2005. Born in Oley, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Hannah G. (Kilhefner) Himmelberger. Mrs. Geist was a knitter at LMT Knitting for 12 years. Ethel enjoyed playing Bingo and Pogo on the computer, hanging out with her best friend Cindy and spending time with family. Survivors include son David S. Geist, husband of Liza Geist, Reading; daughter Denise L. Geist, significant other Paul Cowling, Reading and 3 grandchildren Stone, Austin and Jake. Other survivors include 3 sisters Margaret A. Himmelberger, Reading; Lydia I. Himmelberger, Reading; Charlotte H. Deitrick, Lancaster Co; Brother George G. Himmelberger, husband of Mary Himmelberger, Reading. Mrs. Geist was preceded in death by siblings Florence H. Tobias, Calvin G. Himmelberger and Kenneth R. Himmelberger.
