Ernesto V. Amaro, 82, Reading, died April 19 at 10 a.m. in Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where he had resided 19 days.
Born in Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Serfain Vega and Isabel Amaro.
Surviving are two sons, Hector L. Vega, Shillington, and Luis E. Vega, Lancaster.
Other survivors include a brother, Paulino Vega, in Puerto Rico.
There are also three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
