Elva Seidel

Elva K. Seidel, 95, formerly of Birdsboro, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was the beloved wife of the late James S. Seidel who passed away in 1983. Together they shared 35 years of marriage.

Born in Plowville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Harvey and Esther (Glass) Kurtz. Elva was a graduate of Birdsboro High School and attend Albright College. During her life, she was employed as a Food Service Director for Twin Valley School District, until retiring in 1970.  Elva was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Geigertown, PA. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and was a skilled basket weaver.  She also enjoyed nature and was an avid bird watcher.

Elva is survived by her son Jonathan K. Seidel, husband of Debra Seidel, of Montgomery County, PA; siblings, Maurice L. Kurtz, of New Holland, PA; Mildred I. Kurtz of Honey Brook, PA and two nieces.

Funeral service will be held at Tel Hai Retirement Community Chapel 1200 Tel Hai Circle Honey Brook, PA 19344 on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Compassus, Suite 200, 2 Campus Drive, Newtown Square, 19073 in memory of Elva K.
