Elisabeth A�a�A"BettyA�a�A� Grace, a retired real estate business owner, died Feb. 4 at 12:50 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had resided since 1996.
Grace, 88, formerly of Lincoln Drive, Wernersville, was predeceased by her husband, William J. Grace Sr., in 1957.
She was the owner-operator of Betty Grace Real Estate for 31 years, retiring in 1992.
Born in Tyrone, Blair County, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick G. and Rose V. (Kelley) Mayer.
Grace was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg, and attended West Chester State Teacher's College, the Central Pennsylvania Business School and the Pennsylvania State College in real estate appraisal.
She was a past vice president of the Berks County Federation of Women's Clubs.
Grace was the first president of the women's guild of the Antietam Valley Recreation and Community Center.
She was a board member for more than 20 years with the American Cancer Society and a volunteer with the Girl Scouts.
Grace was a past public relations chairwoman of the Berks County Multi Listing Service and a past board member of the Greater Reading Board of Realtors.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon E. Grace, Boca Raton, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, William J. Grace Jr., in 1998.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
