E. David Tripp

Ervin David Tripp, 69, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Mifflin Center, Shillington, PA

Born on 10/27/53 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Margaret Jane and Ervin Miller Tripp, from Ithaca, NY.

Dave graduated from Spencer High School and went on to attend the University of Buffalo where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in Accountancy and Computer Science. He also attended Syracuse University where he pursued his MBA in Accounting and Computer Science.

Dave lived in Syracuse NY before moving to Albany, then relocating to Pennsylvania where he lived for the last 29 years.  His first years in PA, he worked for Elko, Fischer, McCabe and Rudman Ltd CPA, before starting his own consulting firm, Tripp Consulting, LLC, which he ran for over twenty years. He provided consulting and software development services for various companies including Microsoft, The Marks Group, Highpoint Solutions, and DXC Technology.

He enjoyed spending time with his sons, bowling, poker, playing guitar, vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ, reading and writing poetry. He was a big Simpsons fan and an avid “Rubix Cuber”. He loved cats. Over the years, he had kitties Baby, Doodle and most recently, Mika, who will miss him. 

Dave is survived by his sons Eric David and partner Nona Blankenship of Reading, PA; Alex Michael, of Sinking Spring, PA; Brother, William Tripp and wife Donna in Kennett, Missouri; and Family friends Lisa Tripp, of Reading and Karen Tripp, of Sinking Spring.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Laura and James Van Gorder and May and Ervin Griddly Tripp, from Ithaca, NY

 

No memorial service or funeral is planned at this time. A Celebration of Life may be planned in the upcoming months. Online condolences may be made to www.whelanschwartz.com.
