Douglas Vancampen

January 23, 1941 — July 27, 2013

Douglas Jerre VanCampen, 72, of Exeter Township, passed away July 27, 2013 at 9:00 am in Mifflin Center. He was the husband of Sandra F. (Riegel) VanCampen. Born in Reading he was the son of the late James VanCampen and Bernice (Burkhart) VanCampen. He was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and served in the United States Navy. He was employed by Otis and Reading Elevator in construction and maintenance. He was also a member of Daniel Boone Rod & Gun club and Victor Emmanuals. In addition to his wife Mr. VanCampen is survived by his daughter Kimberly A. Messer wife of Robert H. Messer of Sandy, Utah and his son Scott J. VanCampen husband of Christine L. VanCampen of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by his step children Steven J. Weidner husband of Sharon P. Weidner of Mechanicsburg and Kevin M. Weidner husband of Angela A. Weidner of Birdsboro. Also surviving are his grandchildren Julia, Mallory, Wesley, Kyle, Ian, Olivia, Hannah and Owen as well as his sister Barbara Lawlor wife of Michael Lawlor of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his siblings James VanCampen and Betty Orlando.

Cemetery:
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
