Dorothy Wolfe

Dorothy A. Wolfe, 91, formerly of Reading, passed away May 1, 2009 at 1:20 pm in Berkshire Center a resident for 5 years. She was the Loving Wife of the late Elmer A. Wolfe who passed away November 29, 1987. Born in Berks County she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Amy (Degler) Delp. Mrs. Wolfe was a graduate of Reading High School and was employed as a bookkeeper for CarTech and then for Business equipment and Supply in Sinking Spring for over 15 years. She was a longtime and active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Reading as well as a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Wolfe was a Loving Mother to Jeffrey A. Wolfe of Adamstown; Michael G. husband of Mary E. Wolfe of Exeter Township; Phillip J. husband of Robin C. Wolfe of Spring Township. She was a Loving Grandmother to Justin, Emily, Reuben, Elizabeth and Hannah. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Deibert of Lititz. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Delp. Services from St. Luke's Lutheran Church 9th & Green Streets, Reading, PA 19601 Thursday at 11:00 am Rev. Bruce G. Osterhout officiating. Interment Zion Blue Mountain Cemetery, Strausstown. The family will receive friends in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th street Reading Wednesday 6-8:00 pm and at the church Thursday 10-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund at the above address in memory of Mrs. Dorothy A. Wolfe.
