Dorothy Kindle

Dorothy E. Kindle, 90, formerly of Reading, died Oct. 27 at 3:20 p.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph Medical Center. She was taken there from ManorCare Health Services Inc., Muhlenberg Township, where she resided for two months.
Her husband, Lawrence M. Kindle, died Sept. 12, 1972.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Emma E. (Pfleger) Martin.
Kindle was a life member of the North East Democratic Association.
She is survived by a son, Albert A. Ash Sr., Muhlenberg Township; and three daughters: Sheila Kindle-Jones, Wyomissing; Christine M. (Kindle) McDevitt, Muhlenberg Township; and Lisa J. (Kindle) Werner, New Holland.
There are also 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, William C. Martin, on Aug. 18, 2000.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Aulenbach's Cemetery, Mount Penn.
