Doris Leisey

Doris J. Leisey, 81, formerly of Reading, passed away July 21, 2011 at 8:55am at York Lutheran Nursing & Rehab Center. Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Grandville and Erma (Geringer) Baker and the wife of the late George A. Leisey who passed away January 20, 2003. Mrs. Leisey worked as a textile worker for various textile mills in the Reading area. Survivors include a daughter Bonita Leisey of Reading and a son Richard Leisey of Blandon. She was predeceased by a son David Leisey in 1992 and 2 daughters Susan (Leisey) Santiago in 1999 and Sandra (Leisey) Quigg in 2010. There are also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held Wednesday July 27, 2011 from 11-12noon at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
