Daniel Groff, Jr

Daniel V. Groff Jr. 75 , of West Reading PA, died early Sunday morning on November 20, 2011, in the Reading Hospital. He was born March 26, 1936, in Reading Pa, a son of Daniel V. Groff Sr. and Rosa (Doll) Groff. On 1954 he enlisted in the National Guards/Air Force in which he received his training in Electronics in three years with an Honorable discharge. After leaving the military he spent the rest of his career as a master electrician before retiring. His interests were electronics, teaching, painting, arts, and travel. Daniel (Dan) is survived by his children; Wanda Joffred, wife of Douglass Joffred Sr. , Robin Scalese wife of John Scalese Jr., Daniel V. Groff III, Sherwood Groff, and Troy Groff husband of Laura Groff. 9 grandchildren, Douglass Joffred Jr., Melissa Joffred, Heather Stricker wife of Ryan Stricker, Daniel V. Groff IV, Jessica Cammarano, Nicolas Groff, Sabrina Groff, David Montanez and Estefania Montanez. 2 Great grandchildren Colby and Mason Stricker, and by the following sisters: Rosa Steffy, Shirley Meyers, Patricia Zimmerman, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Richard Groff and grandson Joseph Groff.
