Constance F. (Norris) Schartel, 89, of Reading, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Manor Care- Laureldale, where she had been a patient for less than a day.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. Norris and Elizabeth F. (Coughlin) Norris.
She was the widow of the late Frank Schartel, who passed away in August of 1994.
She was the owner of Miss Connie's Beauty Salon in Reading from 1954 to 1974. She was a member of St. Paul's R.C.C., Reading.
She is survived by her brother: William T. Norris of Newport Richey, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is pre deceased by a brother: Harry J. Norris Jr., who passed away in September of 2009, and a sister: Jean E. (Norris) Schaich, who passed away in 1994.
Services from the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N.9th St. Reading, Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Andrew A. Ulincy officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received Thursday from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
