Charles P. Werner, Jr., 76, of Robesonia, passed away on December 27, 2018 at The Reading Hospital.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Florence (Fisher) Werner.
Charles was a US Air Force Veteran proudly serving his country during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. He was employed for 42 years at The Reading Eagle as a Press Man. In later years he worked in various capacities for Concern Family Services of Fleetwood. He was a member of the Marian Fire Company, Robesonia Fire Company, and Western Berks Zone 3; Charles also serviced as past Secretary, Vice-President, and President for the Fire Police of Robesonia. His memberships included the American Legion Post 635 and Boys Scouts of America, where he was a 40 year veteran. He was a Special Deputy for the Sheriff of Berks County from 1988-1991.
He is survived by his wife: Rosemarie (Rosey) Werner, children: Kevin J. Werner, Rhonda Fasig, Richard Kuhn, Russell Kuhn, Roseann Moyer, Raymond Kuhn, and Jamie Walter. Also surviving are multiple grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and brothers: Gerald and Ralph Werner.
It was Charles wishes to have no funeral service or viewing.
