Charles S. Myers

             Charles S. Myers, 80, of Shillington, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in the Mifflin Center surrounded by his family.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Myrtle (Moser) and Franklin Myers.  He was the loving husband of Lillian I. (Landis) Myers and together they shared 33 years of marriage.  Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1960.  Charlie worked as a Mailman for the US Postal Service for 30 years before his retirement in 2000.   He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and reading.  He told the best dad jokes, loved trivia, and answered the questions on Jeopardy before the contestants.  Charlie was a history buff, liked Star Trek and football.  He cherished every moment spent with his loving family.

               In addition to his wife, Lillian, Charlie is survived by his children, Christopher C. Myers, husband of Amy of West Lawn, Colin P. Myers, husband of Karen of Shillington, his stepchildren, Holly A. Leininger, wife of Ray of Reading, Michael E. Wahl, husband of Kristin of Mohnton, and Ryan V. Wahl, of Birdsboro.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Mitchel, Andrew, and Matthew, and his step grandchildren, Emily, Hudson, and Clark.
