Charles J. Hock, 80, Reading, died Sept. 29, 2006, at 7:05 p.m. in his residence. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Francis A. and Stella L. (Harter) Hock.
Hock was employed as a salesman in the menA�a�a��s department by BoscovA�a�a��s North, and as a music teacher for various schools in the Reading area.
He was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School and received his bachelorA�a�a��s degree in music from Duquesne University and his masterA�a�a��s degree in music from the University of Illinois.
Hock was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. JosephA�a�a��s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Surviving are a brother, Herman H. Hock, Reading; and two sisters, Ruth Hock, Reading, and Dorothy (Hock) Weidner, Cumru Township.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., 444 N. Ninth St., Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. JosephA�a�a��s Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday 8 to 9:15 a.m.
