Catherine Watson

Catherine E. Pergola Watson, 88, formerly of Reading, died Oct. 14 at 6:10 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had resided since June 25, 2003.
Her husband, Walter E. Watson, died July 10, 1990. Her first husband, Lewis Pergola, died in September 1964.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Victoria (Reuth) Wentzel.
Watson had been employed for 23 years as a machine operator by Diener Knitting Mills Inc., Reading.
She was a member of Grace (Alsace) United Church of Christ, Hyde Park.
Watson is survived by a daughter, Dolores I. (Pergola) Stover, Wernersville; a stepdaughter, Eileen (Poulton) Bauer, West Lawn; and a stepson, James Watson, West Lawn.
Other survivors include a sister, Carolyn (Wentzel) Weber, Lewes, Del.
There are also three grandsons, five stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
