Caterina Borzacchini

Caterina Borzacchini, 75, of Reading, died June 25 at 10:30 a.m. in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading.
Her husband, Carl P. Borzacchini, died May 11, 1987.
Born in the Fano Province of Pesaro Marche, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Evaristo and Luisa (Tomassoni) Franchini.
Borzacchini had been self-employed for more than 10 years as an area seamstress.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Borzacchini is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann (Borzacchini) Rhodenizer, Reading, and Mary Ann (Borzacchini) Brendlen, Spring Township.
Other survivors include a sister, Franca (Franchini) Santanche, and two brothers, Aldo Franchini and the Rev. Franco Franchini, all of Italy.
There are also eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Edward P. Borzacchini, in 1999.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
