Carol A. Kline, 74, of Reading, passed away on May 24, 2015 at Mifflin Center, after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Jack Kramer and Mildred J. (Noll) Schaffer, wife of David C. Schaffer. She was employed at Luden's Candy as a candy packer for 38 years, retiring in 1995. Carol was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, where she was also a member of the Senior Club. She enjoyed traveling to casinos and loved her friends and family, especially her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Hailey Klinger. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband: Robert R. Kline. She is survived by her daughter: Michele L. Klinger, wife of Jeffrey of Flying Hills, grandson: Jeffrey A. Klinger, Jr., husband of Taryn, great-granddaughter: Mackenzie Hailey Klinger, sister: Beverly J. Texter., Sister-in-law: Myrtle Dutt, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at Mimmo's Restaurant, 290 Morgantown Rd., Reading, on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 12:00.
