Carmelo Jimenez

Carmelo M. Jimenez, 64, formerly of Puerto Rico, died June 24 at 8:30 a.m. in his Reading residence. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Augustine and Candida (Medina) Jimenez.
He was employed for 23 years as a janitor by Giorgio Mushroom, Fleetwood, retiring earlier this year.
Jimenez, who resided with Donna Clark, is survived by a daughter, Angelina A. Clark, Reading; and four sons: Angel L. Sarge, Carmelito R. Jimenez and Anthony D. Clark, all of Reading; and Carmelo Medina-Jimenez Jr., Temple.
Other survivors include a sister, Maria Medina, and a brother, Angel Medina, both in Puerto Rico.
There also are three grandchildren: Amanda L. Jimenez, Ariana L. Sarge and Melanie Medina-Jimenez.
Services will be private. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., 444 N. Ninth St., Reading, 610-374-0962, is in charge of arrangements.
