Betty J. Quire, 77, of Feetwood, passed away at Reading Hospital May 31, 2013. Betty was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on January 12, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Ethel (Bechtold) Scholl. She was pre-deceased by her husband Donald E. Quire in 1991. Betty was pre-deceased by a daughter Robin A. Dautrich in November 30, 2002 and by a three brothers: Walter, Paul, and Warren. Betty worked at Prospectus-Berco as a care giver for many years and from where she retired in 2011. She was a member of Berks Encord Seniors Group and Red Hats Society. She volunteered at Reading Urban Ministry and Fleetwood Food Pantry and CUCMR Food Pantry. She did collections and donations for ADAPT Association with the support of a local college. She coordinated Holiday meals and gift bags. She coordinated Thanksgiving meals with local grocery stores. Survivors include a daughter: Deborah A. Quire and fiancAC. Joseph Sciurca of Shillington; two sons: Michael C., husband of Anne Quire of West Lawn, and Donald E. Quire, Jr., husband of Jeannie S. Winsness of Exton, PA; a sister: Shirley (Scholl) Strausser of Reading; a grandson: Michael C. Jr., husband of Amanda M. Quire; a granddaughter: Heather; and two step- grand children: Dwayne Quire and Christia Quire.
