Bertha Snyder

Bertha G. Snyder, 96, of Green Hills Manor, passed away October 15, 2008 at 3:56 AM. She was the widow of Ralph L. Snyder. Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Mengle) Grabey. Mrs. Snyder taught school in the Pottstown School District until her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown, where she was active in the Mite Society Ladies Bible Class and the Sister Gladys Circle. She was also a member of the Pottstown Garden Club, was a past president of Pottstown Century Club and past president of the B.P.O.E. # 814 Doe Club and PMMC Auxiliary. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, among whom are Patricia wife of Robert A. Yerger of Mohnton and Barbara wife of Raymond Oakes of Davenport, FL. There will be a Memorial Service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Tuesday October 28th at 10:00 AM. Rev. Burlington B. Latshaw III will officiate. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery.
