Anna Gipe

Anna Mae Gipe, 91, formerly of Reading, passed away August 11, 2009 at 12:01 pm in ECC Retirement Village where she resided since 2006. Born in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martha A.(Resser) Gipe and her step-father, Solomon Gipe. Ms. Gipe was employed by Arcade Knitting Mills as a sewing machine operator and was a member of First ECC in Reading. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce(Gipe) wife of David C. Apple of Albuquerque, NM and Dorothy J. (Gipe) Thomas of Fruita, CO along with her half sister Dorothy B. Schweibinz of Vineland, NJ. Also surviving are 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Services from Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading Friday at 11:00 am. Rev. John P. Ragsdale officiating. Interment Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 10:30-11:00 am.
