Services for Andrew J. DeFazio, 43, of Main St., Centerport, who died May 29 in Maidencreek Township, will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Incarnation Lutheran Church, Reading. Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
DeFazio was killed when his vehicle struck a tree along Route 73. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:26 p.m. by a member of the Berks County coroner's office. A certificate of accidental death has been issued.
He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Roeder) DeFazio, St. Lawrence. Born in Reading, he was a son of Natale DeFazio, Reading, and Dorothy (Billman) DeFazio, Leesport. DeFazio had been employed for 10 years as a truck driver by New Penn Motor Express, Reading, last working May 29.
He was a 1977 graduate of Reading High School.
DeFazio was an Army veteran and served in Bosnia.
He is also survived by a son, Jacob A., Reading, and three daughters: Lindsey J. DeFazio, Reading, and Kayla L. and Jasa L. DeFazio, both of St. Lawrence.
Other survivers include a sister, Maria C. (DeFazio) Hill, Reading and a half brother, Robert L. Amey, Birdsboro.
